The homeowner wanted to add a sunroom to the back of her home that would compliment and update the style of her existing home. A two-story vaulted sunroom was designed, rather than a one-story room that would have greatly diminished the view from her bedroom windows. The second story allowed for the homeowner to look through the new room to the outside, much like a hotel room that opens to an enclosed atrium. The unique design provides striking views from both inside and outside of the home. The backyard views from the sunroom are vastly enhanced by walls of windows set at 45 degree angles.  The sunroom flows nicely from the kitchen area and provides a stunning backdrop for entertaining guests. The deck flows off of the sunroom and was also designed with 45 degree angled sides, and includes two plant boxes all constructed with Ipe, a Brazilian hardwood. 

     This dramatic sunroom addition integrates nicely into the landscape and greatly adds to the neighborhood’s appeal, and at just over $100,000, is also very cost-effective. The homeowner has been delighted from the moment she saw its beautiful 3D rendering.
